22/3/01 An anonymous donation delivered at the weekend boosted the appeal by £10,000. With the grand total now nearing the £18,000 mark, which will almost buy the VW
Sharran, Matthews family can now concentrate on raising the extra £11,000 for the modifications.
15/3/01 The appeal is £300 richer this week thanks to the fund-raising generosity of Fred Lancaster of Burley-In Wharfedale. On Saturday night, Fred had his head shaved in front of a packed Queen's Head pub. This latest fund raiser has pushed the grand total to almost £6,500.
